Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee all end-to-end projects for our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects across various areas of the Manufacturing facility, including Production, Health and Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Technical.
About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing Capital Expenditure projects, managing project status reports, recommending corrective/preventative actions, and implementing process improvements. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who can drive complex projects forward and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the design, review, site acceptance, and installation of equipment.
* Prepare and present project status reports.
* Recommend and implement corrective/preventative actions for existing equipment and manufacturing processes.
* Drive complex projects forward through initiative and problem-solving skills.
* Apply project / program management methodologies to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Use MS Office Tools particularly PowerPoint and Excel to support project management.
* Maintain strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of management.
* Ensure detail orientation and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Safety Compliance
The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular inspections and promoting a culture of safety among staff.
Continuous Improvement
The Project Manager will identify areas for process optimization and implement measures to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Communication
The candidate will maintain open communication channels with other departments, providing regular updates on projects.
Training and Development
The successful candidate will provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Negotiation skills to secure costs with suppliers and contractors.
* Leadership and interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
* Track record of completing projects effectively and driving process improvements.
