Due to continued growth, Moffett Automation is recruiting an Environmental Health & Safety Officer to join our fast-paced team. Moffett Automation is a leading provider of automated storage solutions, specializing in innovative and efficient systems that enhance storage capacity and operational productivity. The candidate will work within our newly renovated Monaghan headquarters and be willing to travel to our global projects. As an EHS Officer, the candidate will be responsible for providing on-site Health & Safety issues, as well as striving to improve safe conditions in the workplace and enjoy a busy progressive working environment.
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Officer will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization.
Responsibilities:
EHS Program Development and Implementation:
* Maintain and Update the ISO Management Systems as required.
* Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
* Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to and regularly updated in accordance with regulatory changes.
Training and Education:
* Design and conduct training sessions for employees on EHS topics, including proper use of equipment, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
* Develop educational materials and programs to promote awareness and understanding of EHS issues.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:
* Investigate and document all accidents, incidents, and near misses.
* Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Maintain records of all EHS incidents and track the implementation of corrective measures.
Regulatory Compliance:
* Stay current with all relevant EHS legislation and standards.
* Ensure the company complies with all applicable environmental and safety regulations.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage any inspections or audits.
* Develop and oversee environmental programs aimed at reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
* Implement sustainability initiatives and track environmental performance metrics.
* Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Safety Culture Promotion:
* Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
* Encourage employee participation in EHS programs and initiatives.
* Recognize and reward safe behaviours and practices.
Requirements:
* Qualifications in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety.
* CSP, CIH, or equivalent certification.
* In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
* Strong communication and training skills.
* Proficiency in EHS management software.
Working Hours:
Job Type: Full-time (40 per week)
Clontibret Based – With occasional travel opportunities.
