Business Tax Advisory Role in Belfast Office

This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in mid-market tax advisory services and enhance your skills working with national and international businesses.
The Opportunity: As part of our Belfast-based business tax advisory team, you will provide a full range of business tax advisory services.
You will work alongside specialists on a day-to-day basis to broaden your experience of different business tax areas, helping clients navigate challenges in tax planning both UK and international, and providing support on merger and acquisitions transactions from a tax due diligence and tax structuring perspective.
The varied work encompasses all business tax advisory matters, including corporate and shareholder reorganisations, corporate restructuring, corporate acquisitions and disposals (with a focus on tax due diligence and tax structuring projects), refinancing, BEPS and international tax.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate the delivery of business tax advisory services for tax advisory projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach.
* Build and maintain tax relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service with high-quality deliverables that demonstrate value.
* Develop relationships within the firm to identify opportunities and provide deep specialist assistance to clients.
* Contribute significantly to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and building relationships in the business community to secure projects with new clients.
* Provide coaching and support to junior team members, aiding their development on client and project work and through personal growth.

To Qualify for the Role: You must be an experienced senior manager with UK corporate tax experience, having managed, coordinated, and worked on business tax advisory projects and transactions, including business restructuring and reorganisation projects, tax due diligence, and tax structuring projects for corporate acquisitions. A solid UK corporate tax compliance background and experience in international tax matters are also preferable. You should possess up-to-date knowledge of changes in the tax environment (BEPS, CBCR, etc.) and have a proven track record in business development with existing clients and new targets. Experience in managing and coaching others, excellent project management skills, and the ability to deliver financial metrics are also required. You should exhibit the ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
