Ambitious and commercially focused Financial Controller sought to join a rapidly growing company in the construction sector, with operations across Ireland & Europe.
The Role
Reporting to and supporting the Finance Director on the performance and strategic development of the finance function. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and other financial reports for review
* Maintaining and controlling check and balances on various nominal ledger accounts in line with month end preparation
* Oversight of Group payroll, Supplier and Sub contractor functions
* Leading and developing a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of growth and efficiency
* Managing a team of 4 accounts staff
* Reviewing and authorising payment files on the online banking platforms
* Ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliance across areas such as VAT, Tax and other regulatory obligations in multi-jurisdictions
The ideal candidate will possess:
* ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, with strong communication and interpersonal capabilities
* Results-driven, proactive, and commercially aware, with high levels of integrity and a focus on continuous improvement
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
