My client is a leading aircraft leasing company which has a requirement for a Procurement Director.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Transaction & Transition Team with purchasing, planning, and budgeting for components during aircraft transitions.
2. Identify cost-effective solutions using consignment stock and minimize MRO-related component expenses.
3. Assist in sourcing and budgeting for cabin upgrades and reconfigurations.
4. Maintain accurate records of surplus material and coordinate returns with consignment partners.
5. Manage vendor and manufacturer relationships, ensuring equipment availability for aircraft delivery schedules.
6. Negotiate and evaluate pricing for major and minor equipment, including seats, galleys, and IFE systems.
7. Establish agreements with suppliers and align procurement strategies with schedules and budget goals.
Requirements:
1. Degree in business, technical, or a relevant field.
2. 5+ years of experience in procurement, ideally within aircraft leasing, operations, or MROs.
3. Familiarity with new aircraft configuration and BFE procurement.
4. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
5. Knowledge of airworthiness regulations.
