GP Practice Manager
Centric Health invites you to apply for the role of Practice Manager in East Cork. This position involves overseeing the daily operations of a busy GP Practice, focusing on effectiveness in people management, patient experience, financial performance, and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain a culture of patient care and improve the quality of the patient experience.
* Oversee bookings process and ensure high-level communication and professionalism.
* Develop and improve the patient journey with the Regional Manager.
* Handle patient complaints and feedback and escalate when necessary.
Leadership and Team Development:
* Directly manage, develop, and motivate staff to build an effective team.
* Provide leadership through regular meetings, objective setting, and effective communication.
* Identify and appoint new staff as required, adhering to policy.
* Induct new staff into practice processes.
Business and Operational Functions:
* Manage general office operations and provide reception cover if needed.
* Responsible for medical and administrative supplies.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and legal regulations.
* Maximize IT system usage and develop procedures for effective practice information systems.
Financial Management:
* Manage day-to-day finances, reconciling sales and takings, carrying out bank lodgements, managing petty cash, and approving suppliers.
* Participate in discussions regarding bank reconciliation, cash flow forecasts, income maximization, and expenditure plans.
* Manage GMS patients, ensuring all payments are made.
Requirements:
* Previous management experience in a medical or dental practice or relevant management experience is desirable.
* Senior administrator experience.
* Strong people management skills and experience leading a team.
* Flexible attitude to changing work practices.
