Grace Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to work in one of our facilities - Glenaulin Nursing Home in Chapelizod, Co. Dublin.
Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Tasks Monitor, maintain, and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance tasks with third-party contractors.
Perform light indoor maintenance repairs (building fabric, plumbing, lamp, battery replacements etc.)
Address and troubleshoot Electric Motorised Adjustable Beds.
Conduct daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks of assets and spaces.
Proactively respond and report building maintenance related issues.
Compliance and Safety Perform compliance checks of assets and spaces to meet regulatory standards.
Conduct regular health and safety inspections to comply with HSE, EHO, and HIQA requirements.
Oversee security measures to ensure the safety of the facility.
Caretaking Duties Undertake general caretaking duties to ensure the facility is well-maintained.
Carry out painting and decorating tasks.
Manage bins rotation.
Clean external windows.
Perform ground keeping tasks such as grass cutting and tree pruning.
Administrative Tasks Use a task management app to log and respond to tasks, including planned maintenance with contractors.
Maintain and organise site supplies as needed.
Report issues to the line manager and discuss action plans.
Ideal Candidate Experience in 3rd party vendor management on Planned and Reactive Maintenance.
Experience in light plumbing, carpentry, fabric maintenance, or other relevant trades.
Proficiency with handheld tools and equipment (e.g., ladders, drills, cutting tools).
IT literacy and experience with MS Office and maintenance management systems.
Familiarity (but not essential) with facility management software (CMMS) is a plus.
Working Hours Standard hours: 08:30-16:30, Monday to Friday Flexibility required for covering annual leave on different sites in County Dublin On-call / Rota as assigned Minimum Requirements Full Irish Driver's License.
Training Comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of duties including Manual Handling, Working at height etc.
