Senior Automation Engineer
We're seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our engineering team in a high-volume, fully automated manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead plant-wide automation projects, collaborating with vendors on design, procurement, evaluation, and acceptance of new equipment.
* Lead and mentor a team of talented Automation Technicians, fostering collaboration and growth.
* Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management techniques to improve automated equipment and processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor equipment performance, using troubleshooting and problem-solving methods to identify and address root causes.
* Provide technical support and leadership to Engineering, Operations, Validation, Development, and Quality teams.
Requirements:
* B.Eng. in Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in Equipment Automation, Software, or a similar role.
* Expertise in Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation products, including code writing from specifications.
* Experience with high-speed vision systems (Cognex) and control networks & communication systems (ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet).
Preferred Skills:
* Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Motion Control Systems (Allen Bradley, Emerson).
* Experience in SCADA/HMI systems development, deployment, and maintenance (Allen Bradley, Schneider).
* Object Oriented Programming and SQL Server/database design knowledge.
