Director of Sales & Marketing(Pre-Opening)
We are currently recruiting a proven and passionate Director of Sales & Marketing to drive sales and maximise revenue at this brand new 183 bedroom Moxy by Marriott located in Dublin's Docklands.
As we prepare for our grand opening in 2025, we are seeking a dynamic, passionate and results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our sales efforts. This role is pivotal in positioning the hotel in the market, driving revenue, and ensuring a successful launch.
The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize occupancy, revenue, and market share for our new hotel.
This role involves establishing relationships with key clients and working closely with the General Manager to ensure the hotel’s offerings align with market demand.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead pre-opening sales initiatives, including market research, competitive analysis and client outreach, to position the hotel effectively in the market.
* Take ownership of pre-opening critical path sales tasks & work with the Marriott Sales, Marketing & Revenue terms to ensure that all brand related initiatives are actioned.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with local companies, travel agencies, corporate accounts, and other stakeholders.
* Work with the senior hotel management team to deliver strategic business plans, inclusive of an annual Sales & Marketing plan, aligned with hotel objectives and budget.
* Drive revenue across all segments ensuring that targets are met.
* Identify new business opportunities including group & transient accounts.
* Attend tradeshows and industry events, host FAM & press trips and arrange client hotel events as required.
* Manage Sales & Marketing expense budget, ensure forecasts are in line with hotel expectations and parameters.
* Ensure all key campaigns, brand, advertising and marketing strategies are adhered to, including reputation management online.
* Complete monthly, weekly and annual reporting as required.
* Work alongside Revenue team and General Manager to create up-to-date forecasts throughout the year.
* Keep up with current market trends, competitors, tourism body initiatives and relationships. Review/amend strategies accordingly in line with evolving market conditions and the hotel’s future plans.
The ideal candidate:
* Minimum of three years' experience in a senior sales position
* In-depth knowledge of the local market and the hospitality industry.
* Relevant degree holder (Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing etc).
* Experience working collaboratively with revenue management, sales and marketing teams.
* Ability to work to deadlines, be proactive and work a flexible schedule as and when required.
* Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to self-prioritise.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
* Valid driving license.
* Previous experience with an international brand is preferable
