We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team for an exciting major marine construction project. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and deliver complex engineering solutions in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee all civil engineering activities related to the marine project, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
2. Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
3. Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and clients to ensure designs align with project specifications.
4. Monitor on-site construction activities, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest quality standards and adherence to design specifications.
5. Lead site inspections and audits to ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld.
6. Identify and mitigate risks related to marine works, including environmental and operational challenges.
7. Maintain strong communication channels with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
8. Monitor budgets, prepare cost estimates, and ensure financial objectives are met.
Key Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is highly desirable.
2. 6+ years of experience preferably within Irish industry.
3. Proficiency in marine engineering methodologies, dredging, piling, or coastal protection techniques is desired.
4. Strong understanding of environmental and regulatory requirements for marine projects.
5. Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
6. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
7. Familiarity with design software & project management tools such as AutoCAD and MS Project.
