Position Description
A Team Lead opportunity has now arisen within the Finance Operations, Accounting and Reporting teams in Enterprise Services, ESB. Candidates are sought who are highly motivated, with a strong accounting and analytical background and capability. The position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work as part of a large finance team. Key priorities for Finance Operations are the delivery of best-practice finance processes, digitalisation, delivering business requirements and continued staff development. This position will give the successful candidates the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the delivery of business unit management accounts, reconciliations, statutory and regulatory financial statements.
2. Assist and advise the business unit on accounting implications of commercial transactions.
3. Management of the statutory audit process for business unit entities, engagement with external auditors and delivery of outputs to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
4. Managing the relationship with key business unit stakeholders.
5. Manage the performance of the Accounting & Reporting team to ensure delivery of outputs to business units.
6. Manage the performance and development of team members.
7. Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various projects within the Accounts & Reporting function.
Experience & Qualifications
1. High Level of accounting competency and strong analytical skills.
2. Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
5. A recognised professional accounting qualification is essential.
6. Minimum of five years’ post qualification experience in a related role.
