Bristol Myers Squibb has been in operation in Ireland since 1964, employing over 650 people across a range of activities and business units. Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility plays a central role in the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network as the company's first European biologics manufacturing facility. This state of the art facility will produce multiple therapies for the company's growing biologics portfolio.
Position Summary
Cruiserath Biologics are seeking to recruit a fixed term (12 month) QC Shared Services Manager - QC Projects to support the QC Projects team at its Multi-Product Cell Culture Drug Substance Facility. Reporting to the QC Shared Services Senior Manager - QC Projects, they will support the activities in the Projects team as defined below.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the QC teams with continuous improvement projects as part of the QC Projects team portfolio.
2. Support of process improvements for onboarding, training plans and method specific training.
3. Support of process improvements for investigation reduction and right first time in the QC teams.
4. Support Lean labs and automated scheduling tool process improvements.
5. Project management of projects assigned to self, including planning, tracking, communication and escalations were needed.
6. Strategically plan and implement procedures and systems to maximise operating efficiency through the use of Operational Excellence tools.
7. Support of operational training activities to support efficiency and compliance across QC e.g. support onboarding and other training related requests.
8. Support of transfers managed by QC Projects team where needed.
9. Perform activities to support Drug Substance release e.g. tracking, data collation.
10. Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Registered Specifications.
11. Ensure any laboratory process improvements align with the BMS Safety culture.
12. Approval of SOPs, Training documents etc., where required.
13. Participate in regulatory agency inspections, as required.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Third level qualification (Degree) in Science or related discipline.
2. Minimum of 6 years' experience in a pharmaceutical / healthcare laboratory or related technical function.
3. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Experience of working with teams and influencing decisions.
5. A strong knowledge of laboratory operation, in particular training and testing requirements from receipt to CoA is required.
6. Involvement in project scoping and tracking is desirable.
7. Experience leading cross-functional teams and knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements is desirable.
