Job Title: Staff and Senior Speech and Language Therapists – (CDNT)
About the Role:
We are looking for Staff and Senior Speech and Language Therapists to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Louth. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, family-centered care to children and young people with disabilities.
You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, utilizing your skills and expertise to empower children and their families, helping them to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment and Diagnosis: Evaluate communication, language, and feeding/swallowing needs in children with a range of disabilities.
* Intervention Planning: Develop individualized therapy programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each child, working collaboratively with families and caregivers.
* Holistic Care: Work alongside other members of the multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide integrated care.
* Support and Education: Provide training and education to parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure children receive consistent support in all environments.
* Leadership and Mentoring: (For Senior SLT role) Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to junior team members, contributing to their development and the delivery of excellent services.
* Record-Keeping and Development: Maintain accurate clinical records and actively participate in service improvement initiatives, ensuring high standards of care.
Requirements:
* A recognized degree or qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
* Registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* A passion for working with children and families in a community setting.
* Experience:
o For the Staff Grade role: Previous experience working with children and disabilities is desirable but not essential.
o For the Senior Grade role: At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, with 1 year in paediatrics or disability services.
