We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer who will provide technical support to the maintenance, operations, and project departments on equipment maintenance and reliability matters for a pharmaceutical client in Cork.
Responsibilities
* Monitor day-to-day performance of systems. Troubleshoot performance trends. Anticipate, solve or escalate problems as necessary.
* Perform maintenance and improvement work on all equipment to enable full operation schedule adherence.
* Support the Preventative Maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong equipment life and optimize efficiency.
* Support new product introductions and introduction of new equipment.
* Responsible and accountable for safe accomplishment of activities to statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate site and department practices and procedures.
* Input into equipment design, construction, commissioning, and qualification activities.
* Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel and other departments as required.
* Develop maintenance procedures and equipment files. Assist with generation, review, and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary.
* Develop and manage critical equipment lists.
* Analyze equipment data to report on equipment performance.
* Develop, standardize, and implement the latest maintenance approaches and techniques.
* Develop root cause failure analysis systems.
* Engineer out recurring equipment problems.
* Support investigation and resolution of problems.
* Familiar with daily activities in all areas of the Maintenance department.
* Deputize for the Maintenance Manager as necessary.
* Rotate with other positions in the department as required.
* Foster an environment of continuous improvement.
* Lead investigations in the work area as necessary.
* Interface with the Manufacturing department (Supervisor, Manager, and Director levels).
* Contact Quality, Logistics, and Training departments.
Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering.
* Reliability and/or Maintenance experience within a process or pharmaceutical cGMP regulated environment.
* Experience of best practices in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, RCM or FMECA.
* Experience of Delta V, PLC, SCADA, and SAP systems.
