This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing invoice-financing company.
This role is ideal for an ambitious and driven professional who has:
1. Knowledge of Payments - SEPA, Swift, FX (Foreign Exchange), Safeguarding
2. People Management experience
3. Ability to drive improvements, processes, changed in providers, Strong Excel
Role Responsibilities
4. Lead and manage a growing team of Settlements associates for growing global company
5. Payment management for Outbound payments to clients & company funders
6. Payment management forInbound payments for clients & company funders
7. Weekly / monthly reconciliations required internally by third parties
8. Manage the interaction with third party payment providers
9. Creation and management of SLA's with payment providers
10. Regular transaction and delinquency reporting to senior management
11. Identification and delivery of Key Performance Indicators (liaising with IT and third parties) to support and manage the processing of payments
12. Ensuring all funds are properly managed by compliant third parties and safeguarded in established banking institutions
13. Ensure all processes are fully documented and knowledge shared in team and across the organisation as appropriate
14. Ensure team members receive full training and performance management
15. Grow and build the team through additional hires over time
16. Ensure AML procedures and training are in place and adhered to
17. Identify and implement process improvements including identification and implementation of new technology solutions (either developed inhouse or using third party solutions)
18. Operate as part of the Operations management team and contribute to the delivery of the overall company vision
19. Help design the treasury process to ensure a balance of funds to meet client needs
20. Minimise transaction costs on all payment transfers
21. Help design the process for funding planning to support drawdown requirements
22. Handle general customer, team, business development and payment provider queries
23. Create and manage the Business Continuity Plan for the team
Education
24. Degree in relevant discipline - e.g. Accountancy, Financial Services, Business Studies
Behavioural & Skills Competencies
25. Experience in financial services, trade finance or payment processing environment
26. Previous experience working in a similar professional services environment
27. Experience managing a small team of associates
28. Experience in a fast moving Fintech is desirable but not essential
29. Understanding and knowledge of AML, Safeguarding, SWIFT, SEPA, or other 'payment rails' an advantage but not essential
30. Well-developed analytical and numerical skills
31. Solid working knowledge of standard software packages, including Microsoft Office with
Advanced Excel skills essential
32. Excellent organisational and communication skills with a strong customer focus
33. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
34. Ability to prioritize and work with deadlines.
35. Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative and effective working relationships that promote
36. Cooperative goal achievement and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect
37. Demonstrated ability to anticipate, analyse and resolve problems in independent and/or collaborative manner, and recommend innovative solutions
38. Ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvements
