SUMMARY OF ROLE
Reporting to the Sales Director of Zeus Limerick Packaging, you will be focused on developing our customer base within the industrial and transit packaging sector.
The Postholder will be the first point of contact a new potential customer has with Zeus in their search for information on the products and services we provide. Working in alignment with the company sales strategy, you will continually develop and implement an effective sales strategy to enhance our response to RFPs, tenders, and develop sales in new territories.
The role requires the development of the product portfolio, presentations to key stakeholders aligned with company strategy and product offering, utilizing resources from across the business including Packaging Technology, Supply Chain Team, Marketing, Finance & Operations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by being a strategic partner and understanding our customers’ needs.
* Maintain and develop business with the existing customer base.
* Be the point of contact for all customer queries and resolve any issues.
* Identify new business opportunities within target markets.
* Plan and prepare presentations.
* Work collaboratively with the finance team, procurement, logistics, and warehousing teams.
* Attend conferences and seminars.
* Present sales, revenue reports, and realistic forecasts to the management & procurement team.
* Be aware of market trends/conditions and get to know your competitors.
* Produce a strong project pipeline of target development areas that are worked on daily to maximize the opportunity.
* Provide customers with quotations within allocated timescales, arranging follow-up/feedback calls.
SCOPE OF POSITION
The role does not have line management responsibility.
The postholder will be expected to work any hours required in the execution of his/her duties.
LOCATION
This position will be headquartered in Limerick, and will involve traveling; working from a home office will be considered based on the location of the successful applicant.

Knowledge and Experience
* Experience as a sales representative or sales manager.
* Experience within the packaging industry, ideally in the corrugated packaging environment.
* Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
* The capacity to analyze sales figures and write reports.
* Understanding of Six Sigma / Lean and Continuous Improvement is an advantage.
* Demonstrable excellent customer service attributes.
* Flexible in approach, capable of prioritizing numerous work streams.
* Excellent planning, organization, and administration skills.
* An effective communicator ensuring key decisions and strategies gain buy-in and are delivered.
