Finance Manager Location: Mullingar Contract Duration: 12 Months Salary: Competitive (Depending on Experience) Reports to: Director Overview: Our client is seeking a qualified, experienced Finance Manager to join their small, dynamic team based in Mullingar on a 12-month contract.
This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who will take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring the smooth operation of all financial processes, while contributing to the business's growth and financial health.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and delivery of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly management accounts, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
Manage the monthly and annual budgeting processes.
Supervise the accounts payable/receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and deadlines are met.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
Prepare financial statements for audit purposes and liaise with external auditors as required.
Work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial analysis and forecasting.
Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with taxation obligations.
Lead the small finance team, providing support and guidance to junior staff members.
Assist in any ad hoc financial projects and reports as required.
Requirements: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent).
Minimum of 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in a similar finance role.
Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and management accounting.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Previous experience working in a small team or business environment would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Irish tax and financial regulations would be beneficial.
