About the Role
The Electronics Test Lead will work within a dynamic global organization and diverse team based in Ireland's west, playing a key role in testing the latest technology in the Automotive Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaise and coordinate with Project Teams based on-site and off-site.
2. Design and review test setups, training team members for consistency in Test Methods and Procedures.
3. Work closely with Project Teams in writing and reviewing Test Specifications.
4. Participate actively in Review Processes for Test Results and Reports.
5. Review and select specialized test equipment when necessary.
6. Provide Technical Leadership and decision-making support to the Electronics Test Team for Reviews of internal test aspects, selecting appropriate test solutions and equipment, and creating new test specifications while maintaining existing ones.
7. Participate in formal product Design Reviews and Schematic/PCB Reviews.
8. Support development and maintenance of the Electronics Development process.
9. Sponsor Innovation and Creativity in the development of all products.
10. Regularly provide status reports and performance metrics for your team, including subcontractors, to the Electronics Team Leads or Department Manager.
11. Identify Training requirements for assigned staff.
12. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new Standards and general market information in the Industry.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 7 years experience working in electronics design and development environment.
* Strong background working in a test environment: test specification development and review, test setups design and review, test results analysis and review.
* Experience using test and acquisition equipment: Multimeter, Function Generator, Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Power Supply characterisation Tools.
* Good understanding of Schematic and Layout Design.
* Experience with communication protocols (i.e CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, UART, MIPI, PoC, LVDS, etc).
* Experience working with large teams in multiple locations.
* Ability to understand project development milestones.
* Good understanding of DFM techniques.
* Project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage.
