Top Oil is recruiting for a store manager for one of our busy service stations in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
What will your day look like?
As a Store Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the service operation in our retail store. You will ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and be responsible for motivating and invigorating all of your employees to provide our customers with the best store experience, fresh food offerings and customer service at all times, thus hitting key store targets. You will also promote a positive culture of a proactive approach to all HSE rules and regulations, with a safety-first mindset in everything we do.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the stores.
2. Work collaboratively with your Regional Store Manager in setting, monitoring, and achieving the sales targets set out with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other KPIs.
3. Ensure all new employees are inducted and trained to the highest standards in all aspects of their role, in accordance with policies, procedures, and best practices of the company.
4. Be responsible for ensuring security and health and safety standards are upheld, protecting customers and employees by providing a safe store environment.
5. Encourage staff to engage in upselling promotional offers and help train staff to identify opportunities to upsell.
6. Manage stock control in line with company standards.
7. Manage all aspects of employee rostering and annual leave while practicing good GDPR measures with these records.
8. Ensure merchandising and presentation of the entire store is always of the highest standard and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines.
9. Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working with a positive can-do attitude, leading by example.

1. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a dynamic retail management position.
2. Proven skills in managing people and communicating effectively.
3. A proven track record of hitting KPIs/targets.
4. Hands-on exposure to stock management, financial management, and reporting systems.
5. Strong knowledge and experience of reading and actioning reports.
6. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
