About the role
We have a rare opportunity for a PDW Supervisor to join us, at our plant in Listowel.
This is a hands-on role, responsible for a shift team of 40 operators, walking the plant to identify the issues that may arise, managing the roster to make sure we meet production targets and schedules and managing holidays.
You will be working within SAP, identifying training needs and requirements for operators as well as in H&S, organizing training, reworking downgrades and carrying out day to day business admin.

This is a day shift position, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm with 1 weekend in 6.
What you'll be doing
* Day Supervision of MIS, Butter, Whey and Casein factories
* Production admin as required eg. Log sheets, product traces etc.
* Directing and supervising cleaning activities within the factories
* SAP supervision and co-ordinate SAP training
* Maintaining the roster and managing operator/ shift supervisor holiday allocations and required cover
* Liaising with the Dept. of Ag on product enquiries
* Health & Safety management for your area incl. Swops, Don’t Walk By Cards, incident/ accident investigations/ Maintaining training records
* Succession planning to ensure adequate coverage for all operator roles
* Competent using MS Word/ Excel
* Payroll – Kronos sign off
* Be a role model for personnel in terms of performance, behaviours and culture
* Ensure all activities have adequate operator coverage to ensure production targets are met
* Help to promote a culture of quality and safety compliance within the area by demonstrating those behaviours.
* Ensure the team are engaged in quality and safety initiatives to improve the compliance culture
* Involvement in Process Improvement Projects
* Achievement of Safety & Quality targets e.g. Product Grading, Lost Time Accidents
* Supporting shift supervisors on day to day activities
* Trouble shooting technical production issues
What you can bring to the role
* Previous experience within a similar role within production leadership
* Prior experience within the dairy/food manufacturing industry
* Leaving cert minimum
* Experience with SAP and Kronos would be desirable but similar systems are a must, as we can provide training on these.
* Solid MS skills, particularly Excel
