Area Manager of the Livestock, Poultry & Dairy (LPD) Business
As a key member of the IDEXX team, you will be responsible for driving growth and success in the Bovine, Swine & Poultry domain. Your focus will be on our main products Elisa & PCR, which play a crucial role in testing for diseases in these areas.
IDEXX is expanding rapidly, and this exciting role offers a unique opportunity to join our team with responsibility for the UK & Ireland territory. Our diagnostic tests and technologies are trusted by laboratories, clinics, and veterinarians worldwide to make informed decisions about animal health. We deliver reliable results in diagnosing over 50 major diseases in livestock and poultry.
In this role, you will handle existing accounts comprising laboratories and veterinary clinics, as well as build new relationships with government officials about testing programs. You will ensure that our full product portfolio is offered to clients by building on existing relationships and providing educational and informational tools and webinars about IDEXX Diagnostic Solutions to livestock owners through laboratory and veterinary channels. This will help grow the business and create value.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining and building relationships with existing customers, as well as acquiring new business.
* Translating regional sales strategy into key accounts and sales of your specific portfolio, with accountability for commercial results.
* Executing daily sales strategy, identifying new opportunities/leads, and generating sales reports.
* Working closely with marketing field specialists and technical services to inform existing and potential clients about the IDEXX experience and best practices in disease management.
* Staying up-to-date with governmental and non-governmental disease control and eradication programs.
Requirements:
* Previous successful consultative sales and account management experience.
* Strong communication skills, including writing, listening, and questioning.
* Business acumen and ability to articulate technical information about testing and testing programs.
* Ability to establish rapport quickly and build/maintain relationships.
* Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong organizational skills and effective time management.
* Computer proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; background in veterinary, dairy farming, or life sciences field preferred.
* Fluency in business English required; second language advantageous.
