Job Title: Payroll Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator/Specialist to join our Finance Team in Limerick. Our client, a major player in the green energy and clean tech sector, is undergoing significant expansion.
The Role:
* Support the Payroll Manager in producing weekly and monthly payrolls for the UK and Ireland.
* Assist with resolving day-to-day employee payroll queries professionally.
* Maintain accurate payroll records and continuously improve processes and procedures.
* Adhere to SOX compliance.
* Collaborate with external agencies on payroll matters, including Auditors, CSO, Dept. of Social and Family Affairs, Revenue Commissioners, and HMRC.
* Assist the Payroll Manager with year-end reporting requirements.
* Complete statutory documents, employee forms, and respond to letter requests - maintain backup records.
* Prepare and process statutory deductions.
* Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
* Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
* Assist in creating payroll reports for management as required.
* Support new starts, transfers, leavers documentation as informed by HR.
* Work closely with HR and finance department to align payroll processes with organizational needs.
* Assist in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of payroll data, as well as the retention of related records.
* Document payroll procedures in process manuals.
* Implement new payroll software packages.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
* Maintain and implement Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Systems meeting ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards and any subsequent or related standards.
Requirements:
* Hold IPASS payroll qualifications.
* Have 2-5 years' experience in payroll administration in a similar-sized company.
* UK payroll experience is desirable but not necessary.
* Basic understanding of HR policies and Irish Payroll is essential.
* Familiarity with Midland HR Payroll System is desirable but not necessary.
* Able to work independently with excellent organizational and administrative skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality is required.
Benefits:
This is a permanent onsite role based in Limerick, with a base salary depending on experience, expected to be in the €40K - €50K range per annum, plus benefits.
