SK9 are working closely with a busy specialist construction firm who are going through a phase of continued growth which will see them add a new Health & Safety Manager to their team. Its a hybrid role, company HQ based close to Rathcoole/CityWest, with 1 day per week in the office and expectations are site visits within 1 hour travel. Company vehicle or generous car allowance and fuel card as part of package.
It's a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Health & Safety Co-ordinator to take a step up in their career where they will be given lots of responsibility, autonomy and support to manage a range of ongoing projects and internal processes and systems.
In this role you will collaborate closely with senior management, project managers, and site teams to integrate health and safety considerations into all project planning and execution. You will also oversee the management of safety documentation, including method statements, safety statements, and training records. You will drive company initiatives to enhance employee engagement in health and safety, ensuring active participation in safety programs. It's also important that the new Health & Safety Manager stays up to date with changes in health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices, advising the company accordingly as well as ensuring the retention of ISO 45001 certification and lead any related audit processes.
For you to be considered the right person for the role, its expected that you should have a minimum of 5/6 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction/energy industry. Imperative to have a strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements and a proven ability to develop and execute a strategic health and safety plan that aligns with business objectives.
Experience in managing ISO 45001 certification and related safety management systems will also be expected for someone who comes at the upper end of the payscale on offer. During the interview process, you will also need to show demonstrated experience in implementing health and safety platforms that are operationally effective and user-friendly.
