Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to join our Home Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Irish Foodservice Market, strong customer relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth with customers within the Irish Foodservice Market for both fresh and frozen product ranges (ready-to-eat).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the foodservice sector. Serve as the main point of contact for customer partnerships & capable of building strong relationships.
2. Sales Growth and Strategy:
Develop and execute strategic account plans to exceed annual sales budget. Identify opportunities for upselling and introducing new products to new and existing customers including ‘Ready to Eat’ products. Ability to identify and target potential new customers, building a product pipeline of leads through research, networking, and experience.
3. Product Knowledge and Expertise:
Develop an in-depth understanding of our product range and the potential to various foodservice customers. Provide expert guidance to clients on the range of products.
4. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
Work closely with internal teams, including operations and new product development, to ensure high-quality delivery of products and services. Participate fully with the rest of the sales management team.
5. Negotiation and Contracts:
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients while adhering to company policies and sales budget. Ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with both parties' expectations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Formal 3rd level business degree.
2. Proven experience in Account Management within the foodservice market.
3. Understanding of the foodservice industry landscape.
4. Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills.
5. Willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and attend industry events.
6. Ability to successfully network.
7. Good IT literacy, including standard Microsoft Office.
8. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of being a team player.
10. A solution-oriented approach, capable of developing tailored selling strategies.
11. Demonstrates Integrity, Trust, and Accountability.
