Job Overview
The company, a retail-based business specializing in the plumbing sector, is seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in guiding the financial direction of the company and supporting its growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in producing monthly management accounts to meet tight deadlines.
* Report group results and collaborate with other areas of the business to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
* Provide management support to the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll departments.
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
* Prepare cash flows, forecasts, and budgets at a group and local level.
* Adhere to revenue submission and payment deadlines.
* Offer resilience to the finance function by providing support for colleagues when needed.
* Become an expert on areas of the business ERP that impact finance.

Core Skills/Attributes
The following criteria will be used in the selection process:
* Recognized qualification (CIMA/CPA/ACA/ACCA).
* 3-5 years of experience in practice or industry.
* Versatility in MS Office, mainly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Experience in People/Team Management.
* Technical knowledge of financial compliance requirements.
* Experience dealing with external stakeholders.
* Production of annual statutory accounts and exposure to IFRS 16.
Desirable Qualifications
* Similar experience in the Retail industry.
* Track record of delivering on finance projects.
* Exposure to working in a fast-paced multi-site company environment.
* Good working knowledge of large software solutions.
* Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Qlik View, SQL.
