We are seeking a Quality and Environmental Technician to join our client, a well-established Civil Engineering company based in Killarney, County Kerry. As a Quality and Environmental Technician, you will test and sample a range of construction materials, such as aggregates, asphalt, lime, ready-mix concrete, steel, and insulation products from quarries and manufacturing plants. You will manage quality control processes for these products, ensuring certifications align with current legislation. This is a full-time, site-based position offering a company vehicle for travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with external auditing bodies, including NSAI, BBA, and CARES, to maintain certification standards.
* Review and process customer approvals for concrete and asphalt mix designs, setting up batching mixes as needed.
* Provide technical support to sales, technical, and operational teams, ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
* Maintain detailed and accurate quality control reports for management and stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with all internal and external quality management systems, meeting industry regulations.
* Adhere to health, safety, and environmental management systems, fostering a safe and compliant working environment.
Candidate Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in a quality-focused role within the civil engineering or construction sector.
* A recognized third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Concrete Technology, or Quality Management.
* Excellent technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
What We Offer:
* Salary: €50,000 – €55,000, based on experience.
