Senior Project Process Engineer
Summary
Lead and coordinate engineering activities to develop and improve manufacturing capacity and processes. Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, NPD, R&D, QA, DA, and SCM to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Provide leadership to project engineers, oversee execution, and liaise with stakeholders and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
New Process Implementation: Lead cross-functional teams to introduce automated manufacturing processes for capacity, cost reduction, and new products. Develop and track project plans and budgets.
Process Concept Development: Oversee design of automated systems, prototype key areas, and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
New Product Introduction: Support product launches and upgrades, including cost development (COGS).
Process Improvements: Identify and implement enhancements in processes and products.
Design Transfer: Manage the transition from design to manufacturing, ensuring compliance.
Process Qualification: Support validation of new products/processes to meet quality standards.
Safety and Risk: Ensure compliance and conduct risk assessments.
Communication: Regularly update stakeholders and leadership on project milestones and progress.
Skills and Competencies
Leadership: Guide teams and mentor individuals to meet project goals.
Project Management: Plan, track, and execute projects using metrics to report progress.
Process Development: Design and validate processes; manage vendor relationships.
Business Acumen: Apply sound financial and business principles to evaluate and justify decisions.
Qualifications
Education: Engineering/Science degree.
Experience: 7+ years in engineering/science, 3+ years in project management.
