This is a full-time onsite role for a Legal Executive in the property (real estate) team at Doherty Solicitors in Galway. The role involves handling day-to-day legal tasks to support the firm's practice areas, namely in property (real estate) and finance transactions.
Responsibilities
Management of development files:
1. Storing and updating tracker documents for development sales in various developments / circulating weekly to clients and agents.
2. Oversight and coordination of files related to housing developments, ensuring they are accurately maintained and updated.
3. Collating contracts, booklets and closing documents for transactions on sale files.
4. Liaising with fee earner to manage replies to pre-contract queries and follow-up communications.
Client and colleague interaction:
1. Liaise with clients, other law firms, lenders, and third parties to gather and relay information on commercial conveyancing / development / finance files.
2. Provide client updates, and address queries with a focus on development files and certain commercial conveyance transactions.
3. Join certain progress calls with clients / agents.
4. Managing online data rooms and document uploads when applicable on property transactions.
5. Supporting and improving the use of office house styles and templates to enhance efficiency and consistency.
6. Management of office staff compliance relating to CPD hours, organisation of in-house CPD events.
7. Streamlining office processes and providing guidance to colleagues on best practices for document management.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have 4+ years working as a Legal Executive or Senior Legal Secretary in a legal practice, and should have the following qualities:
1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
3. Attention to detail and organisational skills
4. Experience in conveyancing / real estate transactions is a plus.
