Friendship Village of Dublin is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner who plans, develops, implements, and administers programs that align the workforce with key business strategies and initiatives.
* Ensures recruiting and employment functions are in compliance with federal, state and local laws plus applicable Village policies and procedures of Friendship Village of Dublin.
* Manages and facilitates employee leaves including employee LOA (personal/medical), FMLA, Disability, and Workers Compensation.
* Assists with COVID-19 related situations in the workplace (i.e., communicating with employees about new or revised protocols) and facilitating company-wide COVID-19 policies and procedures.
* Manages the employee lifecycle including onboarding, new hire orientation, 30 and 90-day check-ins, and offboarding processes.
* Organizes and facilitates employee trainings.
* Provides recommendations on discipline, termination, policy interpretation, and appropriate documentation to support regulatory compliance to ensure consistency.
* Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
* Collaborates with completing FVD benefits, payroll, benefit, recruiting, and administrative functions as needed.
* Participates in other duties and projects assigned by the Human Resources Team Lead and Leadership Team, including communication efforts with employees.
* Develops and maintains multiple resources to build an applicant pool, advertises job openings.
* Assists and drives associate recognition programs.
* Communicates with HRD regarding associate issues and morale, ideas, feedback and suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
* Knows and upholds the Residents’ Rights and Code of Conduct policies. Maintains appropriate confidentiality of information.
* Understands special needs of 65 and over age groups (e.g., possible loss of vision or memory, skin sensitivity); effectively communicates with and provides care for these age groups.
* Supports payroll and payroll changes and serves as a backup for payroll related instances in collaboration with departmental leadership.
* Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
* Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation, understands and applies all FVD policies and procedures as described in the Associate Handbook.
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field of work
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Psychology, or another related field
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to maintain confidential employee records and strict records
* Analytical skills and ability to identify areas for improvement
* Ability to be flexible and handle unexpected challenges quickly, calmly, and efficiently, while demonstrating strong judgement
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a knack for juggling multiple priorities
* Highly collaborative and self-motivated team player
* Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments
