What's the job?
Under the direction of the Affiliate and Remarketing Lead, you will work with our affiliate agency Awin to coordinate day-to-day activity for B&Q & TradePoint (across the UK and ROI), including strategic recommendations. Activity will support all categories, spanning both omnichannel and lead generation. You will also work on wider remarketing initiatives.
You will be part of the Affiliate & Remarketing team that sits within the Performance Media, SEO and Analytics team. The activity you implement will drive profitable spend, helping the business reach its overall growth targets. You will be professional, expert, and data-driven, building a strong profile within the business as one of the key drivers of ecommerce and store revenue.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
* Work with Dentsu and communicate with publishers to coordinate the affiliate activity.
* Set up contracts and exposure in the Impact platform.
* Review publisher requests to join the programmes.
* Coordinate support for trading activity and promotions, as well as new range launches, including being agile and adaptable to trade plans and budget directives.
* Use sales data to carry out monthly validations.
* Continue to implement and grow the BAU always-on Influencer programme.
* Support the PR & Social team with any Influencer activity that is outside of BAU.
* Work with the in-house digital studio to create assets and imagery needed for exposure.
* Make strategic recommendations supporting the Affiliate & Remarketing Lead to ensure all activity aligns with the larger performance media strategy and integrated marketing planning.
* Use the Impact data platform to support analysis and reporting on performance of activity led by you to key category stakeholders, trading managers, and marketing leads.
* Build strong relationships with Category teams and Online Trading Managers, understanding their priorities and clearly communicating the affiliate support you are providing them with.
* Conduct competitor research.
* Monitor ad hijacking and fraudulent activity with the 3 programmes.
* Work with the Go To Market team on seasonal responses and PIRs, as well as data insights.
* Work closely with internal departments, educating them on channel requirements and opportunities.
* Support the Affiliate & Remarketing lead to implement the Affiliate strategy.
* Implement and coordinate app marketing activity.
* Work with the Affiliate lead to develop and report on tests and initiatives.
* Complete weekly audits and optimise performance across the channel to increase efficiency and growth.
* Uphold a thorough understanding of Affiliate best practices and latest developments through self-driven industry reading and learning.
* Consistently work towards or exceed channel KPIs.
* Carry out consistent, data-driven testing to find new ways to improve performance.
* Identify performance issues quickly, ensuring they are understood and resolved, with the impact communicated clearly to the relevant stakeholders.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex and technical concepts clearly and concisely.
* Strong attention to detail and results-driven.
* Able to build strong relationships across the business and with external suppliers and leverage these to meet business demands.
* Demonstrate that you are a collaborative, proactive team player.
* Self-motivated and agile individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Hands-on affiliate experience highly desirable.
* Passion for the latest digital media trends and best practices.
* Solid understanding of attribution.
* Commercial mindset with an understanding of measurement frameworks.
* Ability to analyse performance of affiliate campaigns and make recommendations for their optimisation.
* Ability to grasp the wider strategic vision to optimise delivery of their part of the overall plan.
