Role: Scrum Master The Scrum Master will be an influential leader, delivery focused, with a servant-leader style and coach dedicated to enabling agile teams to achieve their full potential.
They ensure that practical agile ceremonies and principles are applied effectively, remove impediments to delivery, and promote alignment between the Product Owner, Business Analysts, Delivery Leads, and the development team.
Operating at pace, the Scrum Master supports the smooth functioning of the value stream, empowering the team to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and brokers.
Supports the quarterly planning and in particular to help get a strong cadence of delivery going.
Key Responsibilities Planning, Facilitating Agile Ceremonies and Best Practices Support quarterly planning, sprint planning, schedule, and facilitate sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinements) to ensure efficient collaboration and alignment.
Impediment Removal and Delivery Support Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments that block the team's progress, ensuring that the team can sustain a high delivery pace.
Collaborate with the Delivery Lead, Product Owner, and Business Analysts to ensure smooth value flow, enabling the team to focus on delivering high-quality features, stories, and increments.
Team Coaching and Continuous Improvement Coach the team, helping them become self-organizing, cross-functional, and consistently improving their processes and practices.
Transparency and Communication Promote visibility of the team's progress, capacity, and challenges, maintaining transparent reporting channels to stakeholders, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads.
Support for Product Owners and Business Analysts Support BA's with their stories, features and rolling those up into minimum business increments (MBI's) for extending existing functionality and MVP for new functionality.
Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure that backlog refinement activities are effective, stories are well-prepared, and acceptance criteria are clear before sprints begin.
Help maintain a healthy backlog by identifying process gaps and opportunities to improve story readiness and reduce rework.
Cultural Advocacy and Value Focus Advocate for agile principles and help create a culture that values customer and broker-centric outcomes, continuous learning, and high-quality delivery.
Skills and Competencies Facilitation and Coaching: Especially helping BA's develop storis, features and MBI/MVP's.
