Job DescriptionTeam You will be part of the certification engineering team in ServiceNow.
This team is responsible for validating the architecture and technical components of scoped apps developed by Build partners before they get published on the ServiceNow store.
The team also develops and maintains tools on the ServiceNow platform to automate the manual processes involved in the evaluation of the partner as well as ServiceNow applications.
Role As a Sr Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for technical validation of partner apps built on the ServiceNow platform.
You need to ensure that the partner app adheres to the recommended best practices in terms of platform sanity, security and performance.
What you get to do in this role: As a Sr Software Quality Engineer, you will be a member of the store app certification engineering team working on a centralized certification service.
The certification team is responsible for Implementation Reviews of Scoped Applications certified on the ServiceNow Store, which allows submitted content to be reviewed and certified against best practices and security on the ServiceNow platform.
In this role, you will utilize your experience to: Provide guidance to ServiceNow Build Partners on platform best practices, and security requirements including remediation advice and potential feature enhancements.
Automate manual processes and bring in more efficient and intricate ways of testing applications and integrations developed on ServiceNow's flexible Platform offering.
Design and implement subsystems that are maintainable, scalable and highly testable with automation.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have:
Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.S./M.Tech.
in Computer Science or Electronics and Communications with an excellent academic record.7+ years of software development experience (JavaScript, RESTful API, HTML, XML are must-haves).Ability to learn quickly the new features and products on the ServiceNow platform.
Desired Skills 7+ years of experience in hands-on software development.
Strong scripting/development skills (ex:
JavaScript, Python, Go, Ruby, Java, etc.)
.Expertise on the ServiceNow platform and products (e.g.
ITSM, CSM, HR, SecOps etc).Mastery of TDD best practices and passion for testing your code.
Expertise with highly scalable service APIs.
Expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
Familiarity with REST and other integration mechanisms.
Familiarity with an Agile development environment.
Familiarity with Quality Engineering and an understanding of different types of testing:
functional and security testing.
