Responsibilities
As a Graduate, Manufacturing / Post Market Engineering you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge as well as having responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: - Line Support / Tool Room / MaintenanceSupport existing products and processes to ensure manufacturing performance is achieved on a daily basis.Identify and lead projects that will improve existing manufacturing line performance and output.Support through structured problem solving the resolution of quality or production issues.Responsible for process engineering layout plans and implementation in relation to line extensions or redesign.With the use of 3D drawing and modelling support the toolroom to develop / update equipment, fixtures, tooling etc.Support with automation design of processes and equipment projects.Support the optimisation of maintenance strategies through data analysis to ensure optimised and efficient maintenance and calibration is in place. Process Improvement / New Product IntroductionIdentify and undertake projects focused on the successful implementation of process changes that will improve existing device quality and performance.Lead cost reduction and yield/efficiency improvement projects/opportunities.Support the post market surveillance of devices in terms of complaint investigation and risk analysis.Support the supplier change notification process to ensure supplier related changes are implemented successfully.Support the introduction of new products into CIRL directly from design or transfer from a sister entity.Interact with R&D and Process Development on NPI projects to ensure successful product transfer and implementation. Post Market Design Support projects focused on the successful implementation of design changes that will improve existing device quality, performance and efficacy.Maintenance of the risk management files for existing devices (i.e. dFMEA, Risk Benefit Analysis).Support in engineering projects focused on the support / completion of CAPAs (related to design, procedures and systems, or manufacturing processes).Maintenance and remediation of Design History Files (DHF) for existing devices to ensure compliance with relevant procedures, standards or guidance documents.Support the post market surveillance of devices in terms of complaint investigation and risk analysis.
Qualifications
Third level degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Science, or similar discipline.Previous experience in the medical device industry is desirable but not essential e.g., Co-Op placement, intern placement etc.Ambitious, passionate and dynamic individual with a high level of integrity, drive and commitment.A genuine interest in finding solutions to improve clinical outcomes.Strong work ethic.Highly motivated individual, self-starter with a passion for excellence.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Basic knowledge of medical device quality standards/practises or similar regulated industry.Proven problem-solving skills.Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft® Office.Proven organisational skills.Attention to detail and quality focus.Team Player with ability to develop strong working relationships.
