Job Purpose
As a key member of the finance team, your primary responsibility will be collaborating closely with the Managing Director of Ireland and his distribution leaders to provide strategic financial insights and guidance.
You will help the Irish distribution teams understand their financial performance by providing insightful analysis, while supporting and challenging them in equal measure.
You will need to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and play a key role in shaping future strategies as our business continues to grow.
You will leverage your financial expertise to empower decision-making and contribute to the overall financial success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to provide financial expertise, insights, and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
Act as a liaison between the Group Finance department and the Irish distribution teams, promoting collaboration and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
Month-End Closing: Lead the month-end closing activities related to the Irish distribution businesses.
Provide all necessary reporting and analysis required to support the Group month end close.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Taking a partnering approach, prepare budgets and forecasts for the Irish distribution businesses.
E nsure alignment with the company's strategic direction.
Insights: Act as the finance expert on all initiatives in your area.
You will be required to present analysis, provide insight and make recommendations for future strategies.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the Irish distribution finance function.
Challenge current ways of working, driving efficiencies and cost savings whenever possible.
Proactively support with the implementation of wider finance initiatives.
Projects: Manage both projects and tactical initiatives, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with company goals.
Support: Act as a point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide general support to the finance team and assist with ad-hoc financial tasks.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Qualifications: Must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) and a demonstrated track record of financial experience.
Motor Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the motor industry and its financial dynamics, an advantage.
Communication Skills: Strong communicator with the ability to act as a liaison between Finance and the Irish distribution team members.
Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and a proactive approach to individual tasks.
