Accounts Assistant
CREGG are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant role with our client based in Shannon. The Accounts Assistant will join the Finance Team in the Shannon office on a hybrid basis. The role will report directly and work closely with the Group Accountant. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established organisation within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation and posting of month end journals.
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and intercompany reconciliations.
* Assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns and required reporting.
* Posting of bank and credit card related transactions.
* Circulation of monthly reports.
* Assist with monthly/annual consolidation and management accounts processes.
* Assist with Group’s budgeting and reforecasting process.
* Assisting in the ongoing development and testing of internal systems and controls.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
* Proactively engage with internal and external auditors when required.
* Assisting with ad-hoc analysis / one-off projects.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* Accounting Technician or pursuit of relevant accountancy related qualification preferred.
* Candidates qualified through experience in a similar role will be considered.
* Strong IT skills, with experience of MS Office products (in particular Excel).
* Experience using accounting packages – Oracle experience is a bonus.
* Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines and have a flexible, hands-on approach.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team or independently as the role may require.
