Summary:
The AI and Emerging Technology Governance Specialist is responsible for collaborating with company governance and respective compliance teams in developing and implementing the Med-Surg AI governance framework. There is a strong element of collaboration in this role since the incumbent will be partnering both at a company level and within the BU. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, developing ethical guidelines for the use of AI, and developing processes for managing the risks associated with AI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AI technologies, as well as experience in governance, risk management, and ethics.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the Med-Surg AI governance framework based on guidelines from various compliance and legal organizations and McKesson Technologies.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to AI.
* Develop ethical guidelines for the use of AI based on company guidelines.
* Develop processes for managing the risks associated with AI and data science.
* Conduct risk assessments of AI and data science systems.
* Provide guidance to stakeholders on the ethical use of AI.
* Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in AI and governance (US and European Countries).
* Provide analysis on impact and trajectory of legislation.
* Represent Medical Surgical at AI and ML governance forums within McKesson and seek out external references.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in AI or related fields.
* Experience in governance, risk management, and ethics.
* Strong understanding of AI technologies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Professional certifications in AI ethics, data privacy, or regulatory compliance will be a plus.
* Familiarity with relevant regulations and frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ethical AI guidelines.
* Willing to work US East Coast hours.

Our Base Pay Range for this position: €68,700 - €114,500
