Project Engineer Position at Douglas Control & Automation
Summary
A long-term project opportunity is available for a Project Engineer to join our team in Cork. The position can be filled as either a full-time staff member or a contractor.
Responsibilities
* Generate validation documentation, including URS, FAT, SAT, FDS, SDS, IQ, and OQ reports.
* Conduct risk assessments, PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, and MSA studies for new products and processes.
* Create training documentation and provide training for manufacturing team members.
* Ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures.
Requirements
* Manufacturing experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
* Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Open-mindedness and ability to recognize good ideas.
* Innovative thinking and ability to envision new and better ways of doing things.
* Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to manufacturing/design technical issues.
* Good instincts and sound judgment for mechanical and structural design.
* Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), related statistical tools, and validation/verification techniques.
* Analytical skills, ability to plan, organize, and implement concurrent tasks.
* Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product, and process design.
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
