Project management role in the educational tourism sector, hybrid basis Our client, innovators in the educational tourism sector, are currently recruiting a Custom Programmes Executive to assist with the programme planning for university tour groups visiting Europe. This is a fast-paced project management role dealing with logistics and programme operations. Key areas of responsibility include: Programme Operations and Implementation Work closely with university partners to coordinate group tours, ensuring timely and professional communications. Organise multiple itineraries in a variety of countries by preparing all logistical aspects of each tour, following a strict budget. Manage the day-to-day operations of these programmes and ensure each program runs smoothly and efficiently, along with other duties that may be assigned. Student and Faculty Services Collaborate with partner universities and ensure student and faculty welfare are supported throughout each program, collecting information through CRM, reviewing key data (ie health information) and ensuring accommodations are made and protocols are followed for risk management. Coordinate 20+ pre-departure remote sessions, organise 20+ in-country orientations, and maintain wellbeing protocols, along with other duties that may be assigned. Other Administrative Duties Assist with program development such as proposal research for future programs. Create visually attractive itineraries or promotional materials using Canva or similar software and CRM. Work to enhance risk management and emergency protocols. Responsible for an urgent phone that is rotated amongst the team, along with other duties that may be assigned. The Ideal Candidate: Minimum five years experience in event planning/project management within the tourism or hospitality sectors. Bachelors degree / Qualifications in relevant field, ie Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Event Management, or Project Management. Excellent technology skills: CRM (ZOHO an advantage), Google suite and Excel skills. Experience managing programme budgets and negotiation skills. Proactive and solution-oriented. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Multi-tasker with excellent prioritisation and organisation skills along with keen attention to detail. Ability to take initiative and problem-solve. Enjoys a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure. Strong communication skills across diverse cultures. Experience working with higher education institutions and students an advantage. Second language in Spanish, German or Italian an advantage. Up-to-Date CPR & First Aid Certification an advantage.
