We are seeking a Chartered Engineer to progress their career in Forensic Engineering. This role offers the opportunity to work with an engineering company based in Ireland, renowned for its excellence. As a key member of our team, you will have autonomy to carry out inspections at accident locations, including roads, factories, buildings, and machinery.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections at accident locations, documenting findings and taking photographs as necessary.
* Record dimensions and conduct testing, where required, including slip assessments, force calculations, and light assessments.
* Research and stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
* Create detailed technical reports, providing clear and concise analysis.
* Advise clients on liability, presenting evidence in a clear and professional manner.
* Deliver expert witness testimony in court cases, confidently presenting findings and evidence.
Requirements
* Hold an NFQ Level 8, 9, or 10 qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Fire).
* Possession of a Qualified Chartered Engineer designation is highly desirable.
* Minimum 5-10 years of experience in disciplines such as expert witness testimony, road construction, road traffic accident collision analysis, road safety audits, building construction, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, forensic fire investigations, industrial machinery, health and safety, manual handling/ergonomics.
* Hold a full driving license and own transport.
