Inland Fisheries Ireland has a new role for a Corporate Services & Compliance Administration Support to join our team in Finance & Corporate Services.
This role is required to provide high-level administrative support, requiring a thorough understanding of the overall workings and policies of IFI and to support the expanding programmes of work within the Finance Corporate & Services division.

The position offers an exciting opportunity for an administration professional to ensure that the corporate services team run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will provide administration support to the Compliance (including Board Secretariat), Field Services, Communications and Logistics teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide general administrative support to the unit managers to ensure efficiency, compliance and adherence to deadlines
* Assist in the effective project management of finance, compliance, logistics and communications programmes
* Develop and maintain spreadsheets, programme trackers e.g. project, audit, and simple databases, including shared databases/spreadsheets on an intranet platform
* Arranging and attending meetings both in person and remotely, minute taking, and typing of all forms of correspondence
* Supporting internal and external activities/events, collating and recording relevant records
* Provision of financial administration ensuring proper records are kept including, purchasing, procurement, dealing with invoices, generating payment requisitions
* Assist the Corporate Communications team with administrative duties as required
* Produce information and reports from data and/or statistics in order that accurate and reliable information is available for unit/departmental decision making.
* Provide administrative support for events, i.e. conference, seminars & training, using a high degree of personal initiative and responsibility
* Liaise with contractors and/or suppliers regarding site visits and maintenance
* Work with new technologies introduced
* Provide data and information to departmental colleagues as required
* General ad hoc duties as assigned by line management

KEY KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have the following;
Essential:
* A recognised third-level qualification at a minimum level of NFQ Level 7, or equivalent
* A full Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland
* A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in an administrative role
Desirable:
* Business administration qualification
* Previous experience working in a large/complex or public sector organisation
* Previous experience in project or programme support
* Demonstrable experience of facilitating in-person and online engagement/training
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Essential:
* Excellent Administration Skills - IT literate (Microsoft Office suite) coupled with exceptional attention to detail
* Be capable of providing high quality customer/stakeholder experience
* Excellent Time Management Skills - ability to prioritise, to manage own workflow and to use own initiative
* Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to build positive and effective relationships
* Be a strong team player who can remain positive during challenging tasks and work under pressure
* Flexibility and ability to balance cyclical daily, weekly and monthly demands with other work requirements

LOCATION
These roles will be based at IFI in main office City West.
TENURE
This post is offered on a permanent contract basis.
REMUNERATION
The salary scale for the position is at the level of Executive Officer as applies in Inland Fisheries Ireland, it is a 14-point scale including 2 long service increments (LSI’s): Point 1 €37,192.13; Point 2 €37,980.62; Point 3 €40,165.17; Point 4 €42,258.80; Point 5 €44,136.63; Point 6 €45,991.76; Point 7 €47,801.51; Point 8 €49,573.82; Point 9 €51,371.56; Point 10 €53,165.61; Point 11 €55,071.68; Point 12 €56,349.01; Point 13 (LSI 1) €58,175.88; Point 14 (LSI 2) €60,013.38 (IFI Executive Officer Grade Payscales as of 01/03/2025)
Candidates should note that salary will not be subject to negotiation and the rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. New entrants to the public sector will start on point 1 subject to Haddington Road Agreement and subsequent Government Agreements.
