The Electricians at Killarney Hotels Collection are responsible for daily electrical maintenance operations at The Europe Hotel & Resort, The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens and Ard na Sidhe Country House.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and flexible Electrician to join our team, specializing in industrial electrical systems within the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work, with experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality facilities. This role requires on-call availability for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in hospitality establishments.
2. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently to ensure continuous operations.
4. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
5. Work collaboratively with other maintenance and operations teams to support seamless business activities.
6. Identify areas for improvement and recommend energy-efficient solutions.
7. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and service reports.
8. Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely and effective manner.
9. Support the setup and installation of new electrical equipment and technology within hospitality venues.
Key Requirements:
1. Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, or equivalent).
2. Proven experience in industrial electrical work, preferably within the hospitality industry.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and automation.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
5. Experience with HVAC, kitchen equipment, lighting control systems, and backup power solutions is desirable.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
7. A proactive and can-do attitude, with the ability to think quickly in high-pressure situations.
8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety regulations.
9. Flexibility to work on a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
10. Full, clean driving license is essential.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is essential.
