Job Purpose:
The Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Manager will oversee and manage the organization's quality assurance and control processes. As the Quality Manager, you will implement, manage and improve our quality management systems, conduct audits, and lead our continuous improvement initiatives. As Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager, you will ensure compliance and governance with all relevant regulations and policies. To facilitate and collaborate with our management team in the development of innovative policies and procedures to ensure that the Extrusion Centre of Excellence is a leader in the field of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management.

Key Accountabilities:
QUALITY MANAGER:
1. The Quality function shall be responsible for the management and operation of the Quality Management System (QMS), including the following:
2. Provide leadership and development to the organisation to maximise the effectiveness of the Quality System.
3. To develop a continuous improvement culture that addresses the root cause analysis of customer complaints and to lead a culture of change to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of customer complaints management.
4. To work functionally across all departments in demonstrating leadership and support of the Quality Management System.
5. To implement our SPC continuous improvement process, which is used to achieve the goals of reducing all non-conformances, achieve the business goals and key performance indicators.
6. Effectively communicate our strategy, obligations and behaviours throughout the organisation at all levels within the business.
7. To play an integral part of the Extrusion Centre of Excellence management team striving for commonality and best practice in compliance management. Analyse and evaluate the performance of the system to identify any need for corrective action;
8. To put in place measures to audit, monitor and review QHSE for legislative compliance and standards approval of all standards. (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 18001 / ISO 37301)
9. To report and at all levels on the progress of each project and to be able to quantify the benefits and costs associated with a project.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT MANAGER:
1. Develop and implement robust health and safety policies and procedures that align with local regulations, industry best practices, and our company's objectives.
2. Formulate, introduce, manage, plan, schedule, govern and sustain a health & safety audit and surveillance structure to evaluate conformance to our health and safety policies and framework, also ensuring compliance to the local safety regulations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish clear safety goals, objectives, and performance metrics, and devise strategies to achieve them.
4. Work in partnership with the senior management and health and safety teams within the businesses to formulate effective action plans to mitigate and address non-conformances and deficiencies.
5. Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on all health and safety matters, emphasizing accident prevention, hazard identification, and compliance.
6. Lead comprehensive incident investigations to identify root causes, determine corrective actions, and implement preventive measures to minimize the likelihood of recurrence.
7. Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate employees on safe work practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance.
8. Establish and nurture strong relationships with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and external partners to stay updated on emerging health and safety standards and best practices.
9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities, incidents, and compliance to meet legal and internal requirements.
10. Stay abreast of evolving health and safety regulations, trends, and technologies, proactively recommending strategies to enhance our organization's health and safety practices.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
1. Minimum Level 7 Diploma/Degree
2. Industrial experience
3. The person should have a recognised quality management accreditation and be able to demonstrate that they have delivered on significant quality objectives within a manufacturing environment.
4. Background in continuous improvement methodologies (6-Sigma)
Skills / Key Characteristics
1. Excellent Computer skills including Microsoft suite
2. Excellent time management and communication skills
3. Have a methodical, analytical and enthusiastic approach to work with good attention to detail.
