Job Title: QC Microbiologist
The role of the QC Microbiologist involves undertaking activities related to laboratory operations and compliance with minimal direct supervision.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Routinely performs sampling and chemical/physical analysis, and may provide training for team members.
2. Writes laboratory investigations, ensuring compliance and timely event resolution, and participates in error reduction activities.
3. Performs additional laboratory duties as required and conducts peer reviews.
4. Provides a customer-focused service by ensuring laboratory processes, equipment, and services are maintained in an operational and safe state.
5. May participate in non-routine or complex projects.
6. Writes laboratory documentation, protocols, reports, and PRRs.
7. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and progresses related projects.
8. Ensures strict adherence to site policies, procedures, cGMP, GLP, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
9. Maintains the area of responsibility in a state of compliance and audit readiness in line with current regulations, PQS, and business needs.
10. Executes responsibilities in line with Right First-Time principles.
11. Resolves issues and escalates them appropriately.
12. Demonstrates company values and Pfizer competencies.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
* Previous relevant laboratory experience and a good knowledge of cGMPs are desirable.
* Good people, communication, organizational, and time management skills are necessary.
* Effective problem-solving skills must be demonstrated.
* The ability to work within a team and on own initiative where required.
