Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles. You will assist with day-to-day financial operations, including invoice processing, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and track invoices, payments, and expenses.
* Assist in maintaining accounts payable and receivable.
* Perform bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes.
* Assist in preparing financial documentation and reports.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies.
Requirements:
* Experience working in insurance roles or similar previously would be beneficial.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and MS Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of Irish tax and accounting regulations is a plus.
Qualifications:
* A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be advantageous.
