We are looking for a skilled Facilities Engineer to oversee all plant-based structural and civil engineering works at our client’s Kingscourt plant. This role involves managing facility maintenance, leading projects, ensuring compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilities Maintenance: Manage the upkeep of all buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. Act as the primary contact for third-party contractors.
2. Project Leadership: Lead facility-related projects, including feasibility studies, site inspections, and managing new and ongoing projects.
3. Contractor Management: Coordinate and negotiate with contractors, manage service agreements, and ensure compliance with RAMS and insurance requirements.
4. Compliance: Ensure all projects meet building regulations, fire safety standards, and ATEX compliance.
5. Financial Oversight: Report on facility-related budgets, contracts, and expenditures, and optimize cost efficiency.
6. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and oversee the preventative maintenance program.
7. Project Management: Act as Project Engineer or Sponsor for facility projects such as re-roofing, remodelling, and expansions.
8. Health and Safety: Ensure building systems comply with legislative and safety requirements, and lead risk prevention and insurance audits.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Education: Level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
2. Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role, with a focus on large-scale civil operations.
3. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with business administration, procurement, contracts, and safety best practices.
4. Leadership: Strong supervisory, negotiation, and leadership skills.
5. Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and time management.
6. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
7. Technical Proficiency: Strong mathematical and IT skills.
