Airfield Estate requires an experienced financial accountant to manage the day to day financial reporting of the organisation. Working to the Head of Operations, Finance and Environmental Sustainability, closely with the Finance Team, People and Culture and the wider organization, they will provide solid financial support to Airfield Estate.
The financial accountant, along with the rest of their colleagues, will be required to engage with our visitors and bring Airfield Estate’s mission ‘to inspire and enable informed food choices…’ and ambition to be Dublin’s sustainable food hub in a world leading sustainable food city to life.
Main Responsibilities
* Preparation of accurate weekly, monthly & quarterly management information.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts to full trial balance.
* Work closely with the Accounts Assistant to ensure segregation of duties and that all information included in management accounts is reviewed and accurate.
* Managing weekly and monthly KPI dashboard reporting.
* Accounts payable including oversight of supplier reconciliations.
* Accounts receivable, third party invoicing and credit control.
* Bank Reconciliations including integrated credit card account reconciliations.
* Management of Revenue liabilities via ROS.
* Sales invoicing, credit adjustments, customer account reconciliations.
* Preparation of audit file at year end and liaising closely with auditors.
* Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Reporting to and liaising with functional leads on a regular basis.
* Assist Head of Operations, Finance and Environmental Sustainability in the annual budget and reforecasting process.
* Assist Head of Operations, Finance and Environmental Sustainability with ad hoc reporting requirements.
* Present at the Airfield Finance Committee meeting on a quarterly basis, including draft minutes.
* General governance-related admin tasks as and when required.
* Perform any additional duties that may be assigned by the line manager as this role evolves.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a strong track record and previous accounts experience in a busy finance function. In addition they will possess the following skills:
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as a strong team player who shares the Airfield mission and values.
* Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
* Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential to this role.
* Good working knowledge of other Office 365 applications (Word, Powerpoint, etc).
* Good working knowledge of Sage 200 or similar systems essential.
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to connect with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Please note this is a full time role; 37.5 hours per week, predominately on site at Airfield Estate, Dundrum, Dublin 14. Some weekend work is required from time to time.
