Job Title: Electronic Engineer
The successful candidate will be working on the development of medical devices that incorporate neuromodulation, wireless communications, and physiological sensing technologies. These innovative products are used to treat tinnitus, a debilitating condition affecting many people worldwide.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Product Development Team to design, develop, build, and test current and next-generation medical devices.
* Support product development from concept generation through to post-production stages.
* Participate in prototyping circuit designs, including liaising with external prototyping service providers.
* Conduct product testing, encompassing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), wireless coexistence, safety, reliability validation, and performance testing.
* Assist in transferring design and technology from product development to manufacturing by working closely with stakeholders from manufacturing and quality departments.
* Provide support to Manufacturing to optimize production processes and ensure efficient operations within the production environment.
* Design, develop, and validate custom printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) test equipment for the products.
* Analyze hardware failures from the field and participate in corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline.
* At least 3 years of experience in the medical device industry, specifically in product development or manufacturing roles.
* Fundamental knowledge of electronics, including both digital and low-noise analog circuits.
* Experience with programming languages C and C++.
* Familiarity with embedded hardware fundamentals related to Microcontrollers and popular interfaces such as Bluetooth and UART.
* Good understanding of quality management system principles, including ISO 9001 and/or FDA quality system regulation processes according to 21 CFR part 820 and EU MDR.
