Position Description
To support the implementation of the Asset Management business model by ensuring a consistent focus on long term planning and asset assurance across all of the Hydro locations. Applications are invited for the position of Station Asset Manager Hydro Stations.
The Station Asset Manager will be responsible for all asset management activities in Turlough Hill and a range of assets across all Hydro locations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop Life Time Asset Plan (LTAP) for Station submission to Asset Manager
* Management of the Technical Service Department
* Drive continuous improvement in safety culture
* Drive the implementation of PG standards and guidelines
* Develop Business Continuity Plans at station level
* Track Overhaul progress in relation to work scope and quality and sign off on any changes inline with the overhaul change management procedure
* Monitor and report on plant performance and condition
* Analyse reasons for forced outages and develop solutions
* Develop detailed knowledge of plant condition
* Develop first draft of Project Initiation Document for overhauls/refurbishments
* Other duties as allocated by Hydro Manager in agreement with Asset Manager
* Develop Asset Management culture within the station
* Optimise the life cycle business impact of costs, performance and risk exposure on the station plant assets
* Develop nonrecurring cost business cases and report on implementation.
* Review and Update maintenance policies for assets.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will:
* Have 7+ years relevant experience
* Be self-motivated and have the ability to contribute to Hydro management team effectiveness to deliver on asset O&M costs and performance.
* Have Commercial awareness and understanding of the potential revenue earnings capabilities as well as cost drivers for Hydro assets.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Have the ability to lead, empower and motivate staff to deliver best international practice for asset management.
* Have experience and competence in Operations/Maintenance of Power Plant and in Power Plant technologies, systems and procedures, or similar industry.
Qualifications
* A primary engineering degree in any of the engineering disciplines, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience is required.
