Senior Accountant - Proptech
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and ensuring accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
The role involves assisting with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. Additionally, you will oversee transactions, maintain the ledger, and perform account reconciliations to ensure regulatory adherence.
You will provide insights through financial analysis to support decision-making, oversee and ensure accurate VAT submissions, and implement and monitor internal controls to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and ensure accurate, timely financial statements
* Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
* Oversee transactions, maintain the ledger, and perform account reconciliations
* Ensure regulatory adherence and prepare for audits
* Provide insights through financial analysis to support decision-making
* Oversee and ensure accurate VAT submissions
* Implement and monitor internal controls to drive process improvements
* Supervise team members and support their professional growth
* Manage cash flow projections and organisational liquidity
* Act as a key financial contact for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant
* 2 years experience in a busy accountancy role in industry
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Ability to work with non-finance members of the team
