Job Title: Quality Engineer
We are at the forefront of free space optical communications, pioneering advancements in manufacturing engineering for cutting-edge FSO systems.
About the Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our products and processes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
* Conduct inspections and audits of materials, components, and finished products.
* Maintain documentation related to quality inspections, test reports, and non-conformance reports.
* Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Use statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
* Operate and interpret results from a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure precise measurement and verification of components.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Support new product introduction (NPI) processes by establishing quality requirements.
* Support quality management system certifications.
* Train and support staff in quality-related procedures and best practices.
* Work with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).
* Proficiency in CMM operation and programming.
* Proficiency in quality control tools and methodologies, such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, statistical analysis tools).
* Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or other quality-related programs.
* Experience with automated manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
